Oiy now don't get me wrong I am not talking your dull mainstream beers like Molson Canadian, Coors lite (bloody pee that is), Budwiser etc. I am talking more your full body Rickards Red, or a nice Steamwhistle IPA (they do have a great taste honest), or a Big Rock Traditional Ale, XO, or Grasshopper. We have some kick ass Honey Browns too, and let us not forget our own icon of beers, Alexander Keiths IPA where in hades is Fisher he would support me here ahahahaha
Sorry Jimborino we hijinxed your thread.
XXXX:-4
Some interesting write-ups on those beers you mention, although I could only find Steamwhistle Pilsner and not IPA. They all sound worth a try as I do drink bottle beers as well to complement the cask-conditioned ones.
Yeh. Sorry Jimbo. Anyway, it used to be considered an honour to have one's thread hijacked.

You make it sound as though steam were coming off it!
It wasn't, how shall we say, chilled. Chilled isn't what beer's about, that's lager you're thinking of. It was at the cool temperature of the cellar which is what it's meant to be at.

it would be nice to meet gill me thinks

:)
Yes I'll be there.
What we need is someone who lives somewhere that's easy to get to and has enough room for various strangers to sleep on floors and most importantly of all has a pub within staggering distance! Or pick somewhere that's near some Travel Lodge type place for cheapish overnight accommodation.
Ideas anyone?

All kidding aside I am green with envy I wish I could come join in again on another meet up.... Curse this giant country!!! Takes us forever and a day to get anywhere....
Go for it you guys make it work, it's soooooooooooooo awesome to experience a meet up. Maybe again one year I can do it... how about it OM shall we aim for 2 years down the road ahahahaha Weeder? Boops? et al? Should we all start saving now ... ah the memories.
Their beer must be really bad cold and our beer must be really bad cold!!!!!!!...:Yh_rotfl...
Ha...
I have to admit American beer to me is just bad and I haven't even tried another country's beer!!!!!!!...:wah:...So that must be bad!!!!!!!!!...:wah:...
Honestly I'd like to try the English Ale I hear it is good...
I also have to admit I'm not too keen to the idea of warm beer, but maybe that's just because any warm beer over here is God awful!!!!!!!!...:wah:...
I'd love to go to the UK to get a sense of the history there as well as the Castles...
You can get a sense of history here but not so much in retrospect to human history per say as there isn't any structures left over beyond the 1600's etc... etc...
I think Stonehenge would give me a huge sense of history associated with societies...
But in any case have fun...
If I ever went I'd be too busy flirting with a sexy girl only to get jumped by her jealous ex boyfriend in the back of a pub...Hehe...

Actually that's a good idea...
I'd like to try new beers because Bud Light gives me a huge headache and I'm sick of drinking it...
Budweiser, Busch, Miller Light, and Coors or any other beer I've tried I just don't care for...Don't drink Milwaukee's Best whatever you do!!!!!!!!!...You'll grow hair on the bottoms of your feet!!!!!!!!!...
:wah:...
If Milwaukee's Best is the Best the Milwaukee brewing company can come up with then I won't even try anything else they market. It's enough to make you want to slap yo momma!!!!!!!...:wah:...
