We have fire-works going off 52 weeks a year here in Britain and the public certainly knows what one sounds like and looks like. At the time of this incident, many many residents gave accounts of strange lights in the sky etc and some of those people were respectable proffessions, ie Police Officer. If, merely a mechanical fault...... does that warrant guarding the area with security and dogs? I think not.
