It's awful when folk give me chocs as i don't like them. I have to stand there with a big grin on my face and pretend pleasure. I'd rather have a lump of cheese. Mr O loves Thorntons so guess where they'll go :yh_rotfl Still, it was the thought that counted. She wasn't black by the way...... more a nice coffee brown colour :p:p

Sorry jumping in a bit late with this but. Nice to see that some people still have manners. Not that you did it to get some kind of reward but I would always have taken the time to say thankyou if someone had patched up one of my kids.
Recently I have begun to give up hope.. Ive handed back wallets, credit cards, bikes and several lost dogs picked up fallen ladies and saw a traffic accident called police ambulance and took the mans bike back to his house.
In all of these cases I have only ever been thanked by the dog owners. One came with a card and a bag of treats for my dogs the others all bought flowers.
From the rest ...nothing. Honestly it only takes a minute to say thankyou its not hard. Im getting to the point where I keep thinking next time I wont help but then I cant just walk away.

A very busy week in Oscar's lane.
We had my 9 week old great nephew for several days and was kept awake for several nights. Very much looking forward to him arriving again tomorrow.
Some things in life are just too awful to comprehend and with sadness i have had to turn my back on my nephew. I still take baby to see him in prison as i believe in the importence of baby bonding with his dad, although that's difficult when every thing is scrutinised by wardens. Most visits are an hour if not two hours if he didn't have a visit the previous day and it's stifling to sit there with him when i feel the way i do towards him now. This is a big question in my life right now. The question of when unconditional love becomes conditional. Do we forsake a life time of standards and beliefs to make excuses for our own flesh and blood? Well, i couldn't and sadly i had to fall out with my sister big time over this. Do i feel guilty for abandoning her at this time? Not if she continue's to be so damn selfish. There is every possibility he is looking at life imprisonment for his acts. Why should i pity him as my sisters family seem to do? I've decided that far better to concentrate on building quality of life for his 9 week old baby and help his mother get established in a place of her own.
Mr O is flat out with flat packs at the moment. This is soooooo not funny and i don't know why we can't just buy ready made furnature. He has 5 yet to do and friday night he had to come home from the take-a-way early due to stiffness but not in the right places.
Thanks to everyone for the e mails and messages while i was away....... see.... i knew you'd miss me. ha ha.
Ducky is in Ireland as we speak and i'm really hoping to hook up with her over there to throw some bread at her.

Another red hot day in Bristol by the look of it.
I'll be off to the prison again this afternoon. It's odd really, until i started going there i never realised what simple things in life we take for granted. Things he won't see for a very long time...... the sun, a cool breeze, the right to nip to the shops when you want etc etc. I got told off last time for distracting the sniffer dog :wah:
Mr O has just come in and it appears i'm in serious trouble with my elderly neighbours. In the night, my foxes have dug whopping great holes in their garden. Arthur says he's had enough and is going to shoot them. Oh dear..... big trouble in Oscar's lane if he does. He says he going on fox watch tonight. Well, i'll be up all night watching them as well and if Arthur attempts any of that nonsence, i shall throw dog poo in his garden.
The house is in dis-array yet again as Mr O is painting ceilings and walls. I'm determined that once it's done, i'm not going to smoke inside the house...... yeah right. !!

Foxes bury excess food and Arthur has been know to dig up eggs and sausages before in his potatoe bed. I'll cut their food down but there is not a lot that can be done to stop a determined fox getting over a fence or gate. I'm keeping out of his way for a few days :wah: I think Arthur knows too well that even if i didn't feed them, they would still be in there trying to get into bins.
I had some practice with not smoking in the house as when my nephews baby is here, i won't smoke infront of him and go outside. I spent alot of time outside !! :wah: Sitting through a 2 hr prison visit without a cigg kills me so i put a patch on. I admire any one who can give up smoking. It is the one thing i have failed miserably at.

ah yes i guess it would be hard to stop them

stop overfeeding them then fgs you are not italian!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl
cigs,,, omg you cant go two hours without one!! thats bad Oscar:(but bloody well done for not smoking around the baby:) maybe you could try going for an hour... quite a few times throughout the day for a good few weeks,,, then up it a tiny bit at a time even just 5 mins at a time:-3
I am so surprised at myself you know ,, i mean i wasnt as heavy a smoker as you maybe 15 to 20 a day more or less depending, but i had smoked since i was 14 and never tried to give up before and always thought i wouldnt be able to do it if i did try,, i just cant believe im still not smoking and i have lasted this long and never had another puff since the day i said i was gonna try to quit! everyone is amazed at me:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl I dont say i have stopped though i still class myself as still quitting at the moment.

If Arthur shoots the foxes tell him Im coming to get him..
As for the smoking cant we swap houses for a while?
My OH is trying to give up...again... this time his ploy is to leave the ciggies in the car so he has to go outside unlock the car to get one, relock the car and walk back in before he can smoke... so hes a bit crabby.
Then my dear son told me this morning he has given up because ( and I felt like hitting him) he doesnt want his house to get all yellow and smelling of fags.
He is getting the key on on July 1st his first step on the property ladder!
I dont smoke ! So you can come over here and be with the rest of the crabby misererable people trying to give up and turning the paint work yellow...In return I promise to feed the foxes deal with Arthur and wont make your ceiling yellow.
What do you think??

Arthurs knows that if he shot my foxes, i would shoot him :yh_rotfl I have a good friend and he is manager of a High street chain of deli's. I'm not allowed to advertise here so re-arrange these words..... way-sub :wah: Once their meat gets to three days they are not allowed to sell it so on the three days, he freezes the lot. He turns up fridays with a bin liner full of beef, ham, chicken etc. Even though i just got a new larger fridge freezer, there just isn't the room to keep it frozen. I have to get rid of it by the next friday before the next lot turns up. Also, we get a huge amount of meat every two days from the take-away as he can't re-heat food the next day. The foxes particually love the kebab meat. They get a huge amount of good food so are as healthy as the one in my pic. It saddens me to see them skinny and under fed on my travels. I must cut down on the amount i give them now but the problem also is that i have no idea of how many foxes will turn up each night. It could be 8, it could be 15. I put enough food out for all of them but if there is only a few visiting, it's why they are burying it. Also, the staple diet of foxes is earth worms, so they could be looking for them as well in Arthurs garden.
Well, i smoke 60 ciggs a day and have done for years. I've probably tried every anti-smoking method going and none seem to work on me. If i'm on a race track with my brother, i can go hours without a cigg because it's just so busy. It's when i'm at home that i smoke the most. I'm the only one in my entire family that has ever smoked...... I don't get that
