Here's my brother's band "Tipsy Rovers" singing 'A Nation Once Again.' His band usually plays at family functions, but now they're getting some gigs and just enjoy playing music together:-6

I visit my Donegal thread whenever I'm lonesome for my relly's in Ireland. It's been 6 long years between visits, but we talk at least twice a month and text often....We'll have to settle for that for now....~~~~~sigh~~~~~

My family and I went to our favorite Irish hotel for Thanksgiving and 'of course' ended up singing some Scottish/Irish songs. It was especially lovely being with my 2 brothers and niece as we can sing our favorite songs and harmonize.

We love singing "Wild Mountain Thyme." One of my favorite groups is a Scottish group called the "Silencer."

I love their version of "Wild Mountain Thyme." What a treat it was to first hear their rendition of this marvelous song.

I still miss the Dubliners, as I've met all of them in Greystones. They were friends of my Uncle Jim's. I've been talking to my cousins in Ireland for the last 2 nights...talking about the 'rare old times' and thought I'd post some of our favorite songs, especially from the Dubliners...

Ronny Drew singing "The Rare Old Times" I've hugged this man a few times...lovely fella he was...miss him:-1...

@gmc...

Hi there,

Met a new friend from Nova Scotia, a very Celtic island...mostly Scottish...

She's shared some music from her island and one group, who are her best friends, I thought were lovely. They are called the Rankin family.

Thought you might like this video...dunno..

Thanks Snooze. I was playing DoubleDown Casino in FB & I was losing, my bet at 500 per line or 10,000 per click . The slot I was palying was American Idol. I guess I got carried away.
