All I wanted him to do was to do the ceiling in the lounge room as its a big room and thats where I am having problems.....I want to do the rest
Anyways looks like I will have to have a talk to him. I know his intentions are good but I dont want him doing all MY painting its my project.....
Am I being stubborn

Just do what you can & let him do the rest.
You will still have your part in the project.

Ive been doing some thinking about your paint color selection.
Im having some doubts.
Im kind of a paint color expert. I have a flair for elegance. Thank you.
Im going to throw this out there and you let it bounce around in your brain cavity then we can discuss it.
Shagbark and Hourglass is the direction Im leaning toward for you.

It's so good to see you both!! Galbally was about today too. Things is lookin up. I have to go shortly. Am looking forward very much to seeing Dieter. He's just started yet another school (that makes 4 in 3 years). He's with his Dad now. But he's happy and has already made some new friends. And he's now an independent reader - which is a big rite of passage here, even more so even than getting your pen licence!!! The party's tomorrow - but D will be with him Mum in Goulburn for the weekend, so we're going down today. Will take them both to dinner this evening.

Oh Kay...That's so nice to hear about her though Daniel. I'd love to see pics of her as she grows if you'd share them in a pm. You must miss her so much.

Hello Kaylene:-4
You are working too hard with all of this painting and mowing the lawn.
How big is you property? Take care of yourself.
In my last home, the property was 50x100ft. and most of it was grass. I mowed every 10 days, and it took me 3 hrs. due to my allergies. I'm allergic to grass and just couldn't mow anymore...thankfully. I finally hired someone to mow.
Now, in my beach house, I had all the lawn pulled up and put pavers down.
I'm a free woman now;)
Any scotch left..I could use a drink about now:D

Amazing, Kaylene - it's my son's birthday too!!! (Thanks by the way for your kind concern the other day - some days are more fraught than others.. grin). My son is working night shifts and is still asleep, but should be awake soon, and I'll take him for lunch to Balmoral beach. He may have time for a swim in the sea too, before his next shift starts.
All that physical work - I was just talking to my sister on the phone. She and her partner are pioneering a new place in the Blue Mountains, and much hard labour is also being done, in the heat too.
You're an inspiration!!

Thanks Kaylene and Kathy. We had a nice lunch and a walk along the beach. I wanted to swim but my son had to get to work. Anyway, it suddenly became so sweltering I really wanted to get inside. Over century heat here, but not as hot in Sydney as in other areas. In the night we had a mega wind storm. I thought the windows were going to implode. Everything not tied down was blown off tables, desks etc. At 2 am, I had trouble even shutting the windows, the wind was so fierce against them. Thought we'd all end up in Kansas. (Kansas is a bit closer to NJ, Kathy - so every scenario has its upside!! ) :sneaky:

It has upsides, Kathy. It being Saturday, I abandoned the fam, drove the 20 mins to Balmoral Beach - and had my first proper swim of the season. Totally blissful !!!!!
I have a jug of water chilling in the fridge, Kaylene. Your sounds like an awesome thingie.. grin. Mine much more prosaic, but very drinkable.
I had plans for fixing hot pasta for supper last night, but abandoned that and instead we all had canned salmon salad.. all I could find when it was cool enough to eat. We will definitely go onto salads from now.
Tonight - steak and blue cheese, with green beans, lettuce, grape tomatoes, tiny potatoes, mixed lettuce and garlic and orange dressing.
Tomorrow - Nicoise - but himself doesn't like tuna, so I'll cook fresh salmon tails instead, boiled eggs, capers, black olives, sugar snap peas, tiny potatoes and fresh button mushrooms
Monday - probably some kind of caesar salad - with anchovies and bacon...
I'm starving at the thought. Must be the cold shower I just took which has rekindled my appetite.
Kathy - do fetch us over to the Shore.. Kay and I could both probably moider an ice cold peach bellini or a well chilled cosmo at Klees.

Hello :-6
Had to go for a drive Thursday afternoon .
Had a few appointments to go to.
I was getting into my car to leave here & it was 45.c.:-5
Very hot day ,my friend was telling me that she had a flat tyre & had to wait till early morning to fix it as the metal was way to hot.The tar was also melting when she tried to put the jack under the car to change the thing.
Look out when summer arrives.
Love to all:-4:-4
