HE made dinner tonight, and it was a very acceptable beef and blackbean. You'd think in a place as Chinese as Sydney now is, it would be easy to find blackbeans... NOT. A quest had to be perpetrated. The usual supermarkets just sell the horrible ready made sauces. Real blackbeans had to be acquired, then soaked, mashed with garlic and a hint of ginger etc etc. Excellent result!!!
