I rather virtuously dismantled the elder daughter's desktop PC this morning (a bare-metal Shuttle I built her from second-hand parts at least seven years back), removed the dust, replaced both the fans and all four rubber feet and the thermal compound and put it on a soak test. It's had two new components over the years, the PSU which burned out and a new DVD-RW. Other than that it's survived two house moves and getting married with no problem. And it's now, by the look of it, no longer overheating.

Have you read Jean Auel's books about the Earth children? Jean's extensive research has only confirmed, for me, the fact that our Earth has always gone through mega, climatic changes.
Check out her site if you haven't read her books. Sadly, her last book will be coming out this March.

I read your posts on another thread and decided to read theses books to see if I liked them. I'm on The 3rd "The Mammoth Hunters" and do enjoy them. They do have a bit of caveman porn in them don't they? :sneaky:

Im touching my private parts. No not really. Im contemplating if my role in humanity has any real meaning. So far its not looking very good. All the same its fairly important to me.

Decide first if humanity has any meaning, then worry about if you're part of it.
I'm rather content to watch it from a distance like a game of tic tac toe played by monkeys who are likely to get violent.

No school today, so will chip ice away from #2 son's car. Daughter left for work and I didn't hear her, and she fell down the stairs on the ice.

Oh, that sounds so interesting!
I just was chipping away ice from the porch, it is slowly melting. I will return to the bedroom later to look for the last missing bird, but the room is almost spotless from moving all furniture and cleaning while I'm there. (thank goodness for snow days)

Ahhhh Chonsi...I wish I could cyber over and help you. I hope he's feeling better. Remember what I told you. I'd love for you and hub to spend some time at the beach. Just let me know!

11:30 I'm sitting here waiting on my beloved's return from a girlie's night in in another's girlie's house.
I'll be home at 9pm she says as she waves bye bye happily walking down the garden path.
She'll be at that Gin bottle again, fag hanging out the corner of her mouth, skirt hitched up over her knee, one foot on the coffee table in an effort to steady herself as all the girlie's stretch out on the carpet or chairs or couches telling each other filthy jokes and swigging from their bottles of whatever.
Oooo, I wish I was there :wah:

Today it is going to be 66F (19C)
Guess where I'm going? To the beach....yea:wah:
Plan to sit there, enjoy the sun, and read the newspaper while smelling the salt air. Then I plan to take a long, long walk and go to my fav Irish pub later on to meet up with friends.

The weather is awful today. It's 24F (-4C) with gusty winds of 60 MPR. Jeez, just went for a food order and couldn't open my trunk to get the food out. I have to move it to a less windier place.
My dopey neighbors don't batten down the hatches...never do....

and their grill toppled over, dragging the gas tank along. Their garbage is all over the place. Then they shove it against my new fence. I will go out and move it soon.
