Wrong diet, wrong behaviour, just wrong.
It's cute picture.
The dog pups should be in a den, dug by the mother in the side of a hill, feeding off small game, ripping them apart, blood soaked muzzles and snarling at each other over the poor servings.
The chimp should be dead.
It's just a cute picture.
Why am I still in this bleeding thread anyway?

The actions of a few die-hard nationalists are not the acts of a State. The First World War started when the Emperor Franz Joseph declared war, in the name of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, on Serbia. The parallel with US relations toward Afghanistan in 2001 is uncanny and even the end result is comparable.

Nothing of the sort. It's a history lesson with modern applicability.
Nation loses the plot and invades small fry for no good reason other than that it's big enough and tough enough and thinks it's invulnerable and claims provocation by a foreign power, nation faces universal opprobrium and ends up broke having completely failed with all its foreign policy objectives, world cheers, nation never regains sufficient strength to piss off world again, happy ending for all concerned.
When did you last see the Austro-Hungarian Empire being listened to at a world event. The lesson: treat outrages by criminals as criminal outrages, not as acts of war by foreign powers.

Yada ya ya ya da......Im not listening.
My post that prompted this history lesson was a 'throw away' line......much like your 'I blame Snooze'
I don't need or want to know the history of the Austro-Hungarian Empire......it was simply a joke.

I think we should give the thread back to the aww-sayers. Looking at Snooze's opening post I still don't believe that was her own reaction to the photos, I think she opened the thread as a provocative act to bring people into opposing camps. Maybe the aww-sayers need a bit of space to balance things up.

Can't believe this thread has gone round in this ridiculous circle  it's a waste of time and it puts people off posting.

I can remember the days when an "awww" thread was left to those who wanted an "awww." Those days are long gone, sadly.

If I had to stand about waiting for an aww thread to come along that I could legitimately bring myself to aww into, I'd not post from one month to the next.
Whatever you were about to say, don't.

I'm pretty sure someone drugged that dog then draped it around the petrified bear leg just to take that pic. Or not.

Anthropomorphism of grizzly bears is what got Timothy Treadwell killed. And it all started with a teddy bear just like that. Stuffed toys kill. Betty's got a lot of nerve trying to push killer toys on the rest of this forum.

Couldn't you have thrown in some Yank hate, an example of excessive police force and some obscure history from 1486?

It would be an ignorant creature who couldn't bring to mind that the Tudors came to power on Bosworth Field in 1485, it's one of the key moments of all time. The year has been branded into the mind of every British schoolboy since.
