that's why we took to quoting her, as I recall.
What you done here Spot, with your confession, is remove the power from your 'find where I have ever said anything like that' challenges you throw out from time to time.
I try to only 'eta' if it is right after i've submitted the post.
To be fair, Spot wasn't the only one who used this practice nor Odie.
We had a member here who would write personal Insults to anyone they didn't happen to get along with when most Brit members were In bed, wait for the person they were attacking to come back with a scathing post, then go back, delete theirs, leaving the scathing response only. This made the person they had attacked look the bad guy and they would act like butter wouldn't melt.
Odie actually fell victim to this person and this practice time and time again because she fell for It time and time again.
What the member didn't realise was that there used to be a setting here where every time a member made a post on a thread you had posted on, their post came through to you as an e mail. So there In all their glory were the nasty's they had written and going back and deleting their nasty made no difference.
Was It deliberate malicious practice? I don't know but It did appear that It was done enough to entrap certain members making them look the Instigator. Then, the Brits would log on In the morning and only see the post by the person that had originally been attacked and Insulted In response. It was certainly calculated because of the amount of times they did It and got away with It.
