Right now it is Asia flexing there industrial muscle, suspect South America is due to flex a little..............after they have cleared enough rain forest to put up some factories (figuratively speaking) then Africa will be along soon after, and they will all want cars.....all of em.

The point being, there will never be enough action possible without severely reduced populations. Resource demand and depletion are far stronger than feel good energy sources. Protein, cars, middle class wants drive the show in rising economies.
