All this time I've spoken your name (in my head) with a hard G. I remember the first time I heard Galbally say his name and it all kind of jumbled together like "gobbly" instead of "Gall Ball ee".

Come on you lot ! I'm chuffin' sure most of you have got microphones either separate to plug in or already in your laptops. Gawd, I reckon you're all scaredy cats, and here's me thinkin' this thread would be really popular ! I reckon most Forum Garden members are all stuffed shirts ! It's only a bit of fun for pity's sake !

So Lars are you saying there's something wrong with southern English? LOL I've always said you can have a southern accent and still use proper grammar. We all don't sound like the "poor relations"

There are words common to The South, that Yankees don't know about.
Example.
Fixing. I am fixing dinner. Or I am fixing to go to town.
My wife always gives me grief over such words, but they are proper English in The South.
Those poor relations take a fairly relaxed view of the language, though, and it can show.

Gill it was the camera on your computer and the message system, I didn't have a camera at the time so I had to write my responses but I could hear and see you. I have a completely different computer now so I not sure how to do it either! LOL
