The interesting thing about the US is that we have all of those running about here.

Sometimes, all in the same family.

My family has English, German, Scot, Irish, French, Dutch, Spanish, Mexican, Norse, Pole, Czech, Cuban, and Seminole. And probably a couple I left out.

Makes for some interesting family gatherings.

Which is why I would say Americans are not actually any more violent than anyone else when push comes to shove it's the gun culture that make the difference and they seem to like the image of being violent and aggressive

You can go to different areas of the Americas and find communities where the majority of the settlers came from one country or region, and you will find some very similar behavior patterns and physical characteristics among the populace, and you can see the similarities with people of the mother country.

It is not nearly as predominant these days as it was only a few generations ago, but in the older people who never strayed far from home it can be very obvious.

Bought in to what story? Most americans originated somewhere else only native americans are actually native to the American continent and they are pretty warlike as well people are basically the same the world over it's kind of silly to get in to an argument about which group of people are the most warlike when it comes right down to it we are all capable of violence it's the culture that makes it acceptable or not.

After all, the origin of the country was made of those violent ne'er do wells, who would have been likely to have ended up at hte end of a rope in their country of origin, or at the very least those with a high survival instinct - kill or be killed. As for the nurture - further to the genetic traits it has also become a way of life. Although no longer necessary, it has become a cultural tradition, handed down through the generations.

No, I'm saying that Americans are a product of American values ¦. NOTHING to do with the nation of their ancestors. And when I say product of said values I mean that they either uphold those values or, in the case of the underprivileged ¦ rebel against them. In both cases they are consequences of American upbringing and not representative of their German or Senegalais (or whatever) ancestors.
