There was no such thing as Catholicism, Roman or otherwise at the supposed time of Jesus. The Jews had no power over the legal system. That was done by the occupying Romans. These Romans were NOT Roman Catholics. Nor were they Jews. The Church's claim that the Jews were responsible for killing him is nothing but anti-semmite propaganda, plain & simple, which is somewhat ironic, seeing as Jesus, himself, was a Jew.
