Death has gone up to 38 and counting the police are not giving out any more deaths at the moment

another update the news is now reporting at least 40 dead and more than 1000 injured. :-1

What we do is support our country and our troops. I really mean it when I say I am sorry for the loss in London and this might be the impetous(sp) to get other countries involved. It isn't just the US anymore that has been attacked. Maybe other peoples in other lands that are not religion hell bent on their way of life can now see the threat.

That is a cool idea. My SIL goes to Iraq on 9/11 and is going to be paired with a British group to train Iraqi police. Maybe we can get something going for them??!!!!

Call your local VFW. Many are sending packages to the troops in Iraq. Also, I don't know about all VFWs but ours will give a membership to members still in active duty.

I agree with you on that. They get pretty lonely and far from home. I'll PM you on that and maybe we can get something started. I've heard cyber time is really important to keep in touch with the families back home. Excellent idea.

Okay, I know the guys don't want to hear this BUT we were told the women over there also need "feminine products". That's something they are having trouble getting there. Also suggested has been flea collars (the troops wear them because of sand fleas), pens, cards, travel board games, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.

It's just a matter of time before those SOB's hit the USA again. They have the element of suprise on their side, it is very very difficult for Homeland Defense to thwart all terrorists attempts.

hey gang no new messages in my inbox, mind you I left that for far to manage sorry I wish I had more news. Dont forget some of our friends don't always get here daily, as well may be in an area where power may be interupted I don't know if that is a possibility or some may be stranded away from their computers or are with friends or family that need them right now. We can only hope beyond hope that our friends are fine.

Thanks much LC I kind of knew some of them had not posted lately but thought out of respect to them I would include them as they had posted regularly and lots in the past. Ok that is fine about steltz then oops blushing now ahaha as well as thinking turbo was a brit when in fact is a Canadian ahahahaha I guess I was multi tasking badly today sheeesh so sorry

Voodoo and I are okay. I work at a london fringe hospital. We went on red alert to get overflow victims from london. It was a long night mates.

But trust you me.....the brits WILL soldier on. That attitude has served them very well in the last 24 hours. I salute you.

This is TWICE I've been bombed now!

I'm totally over it!!! And for what??? 37 dead! (so far) More are expected. Over 700 casualties. As Bothwell said earlier, the bus may be a suicide bomber. Is everyone else okay?

one thing we should give thanks for is the low number of deaths. A typical London rush hour tube train carries 900 + passengers, I am stunned at the low number, any death in this fashion is appaling but I reckon it could have been a lot worse. the proximity of the events to major London teaching hospitals must have helped, plus which the bus blew up right outside the BMA (british Medical association) HQ.

I'm hoping this wasnt just a practice run. Due to the low amount of deaths, I cant help but feel something bigger is on the horizon. After all, they bombed the towers BEFORE they flew a plane into them.
