Anybody have that story handy, about the guy stranded in a flood that refused help from the guy in the truck, guy in the boat, and guy in the helicopter, because he was waiting for God to help him? :p

Nope, but I often see it on birthday cards.
When he eventually died and went to heaven he asked God why he didn't save him.
God replied, "Why, I sent you a truck, a boat, and a helicopter, what more do you want?!"
Or something like that.

That's the one. I see parallels with business, medicine, etc. Don't you?

Yes I do AC. In all daily aspects of life. It's just up to us to keep our eyes open and jump in. Just that we're not always looking.

Just don't call him Close until you're sure he's had his bath.

:wah: Does seem like this thread has become random. As a matter of fact, is it possible to quote a thread into another thread?

Since it's vogue to make disparaging remarks about Christians I guess those remarks can’t be called “intolerantâ€.

Many years ago we owned motels...and we rated the occupants...as to how clean they left the room they had rented...
the worst :#1 ministers and pastors
2 doctors and nurses
3 musicians
It went on from there to surfers cleaning and waxing their boards on your new bedspreads and dumping sand into the carpet.and .fishermen laying their crab pots on your carpets OR beds..
We always figured the pastors were so heavenly minded they were of no earthly good.
The drs. were so used to having someone pick up after them that they were totally unconscious.
Nurses were used to doing just what was necessary and were having a vacatiion from picking up after drs.
The musicians use so much make up and clean it all off on your white towels and they are never useable again.
Pastors that call for a reservatiion and ask for a "clergy discount"...I would tell them we would give them one...up 10dollars and down 5.....that usually brought a phone slammed into your ear drum....tsk,, tsk.
