Luke skywalker, Captain Kirk, and the Famous Five (disregard the last one if you don't come from the British Isles). Oh and Animal from the muppets, now that was proper drummin.

I bet you didn't think to ask him why his spine didn't snap when he lifted heavy stuff like cars with his bionic arm?
Wonder how many people bought the 'Oscar Goldman' figure?

Starsky and Hutch, I'm big enough to admit it, when I was a kid they were the coolest imaginary cops around. And anyone born in the late 60's early 70's knows what I'm on about. And the car!!!!!, on this side of the atlantic it was the coolest thing going, although everything on U.S. T.V. seemed impossibily glamorous to us then. Unfortunatly as I've grown up and have come to realize that the car couldn't outrun a Toyota Corolla 1.4 if it had a headstart, weighed about 2 tonnes, and did about 3 meters to the gallon. Ah the days of youth.

exactly. reminds me...
some of the kids at son's school get allowances... how much? for what? i always ask. Often, they don't know.
Someone asked the same of my son the other day... he knew!
"Keep my room clean, my crap outta the living room, do my homework on time, get to school on time, 5 bucks on Sunday!"
I was so proud.
and he's a good kid... if I ask him to do a chore, he does it.
