Actually I've suggested getting a real tree, the children said no, so I'm sulking.

When growing up, we would all go to a tree farm and dad always let us pick out the tree my brother and I liked...those were special days, there was no such thing then as artifical, and the aroma in the house was magical. That's when Christmas was really Christmas.

well living on a farm like i do, when i was a kid it was just a question of walking out in the woods and looking until we found one we liked!

we had to drive an hour just to get out of town to the tree farms!:-5

Hope, i know this is a cheerful thread. but there is one thing i would like to say. I was talking to my Aunt in Little Rock, ARK.. My only Aunt on my mother side. Who is Still with us. Anyway. her son is a dentist in Little Rock. He told her a sooo sad story this morning. That brought tears to my eyes.:-1. he was calming one his Little people. When he asked her what Santa was bringing her. She said nothing. Daddy lost his JOB. So my cousin and his nurse. Will go shopping for this child. So very sad. poor baby:(
