most of mine are bought from my nursery here......I pay a bit more, but its worth it....larger more healthier plants.
wal-marts......suck!
I never go near Walmart let alone buy flowers from them. Kmart has some good stuff. We go to the Produce Junction...I'm lucky we have two of them near us and for my veggie plants I go to a nursery. As for my fave petunias I love the aromatic purple ones..they are so nice to smell.:-4

in plant form yes, very expensive!
I pay around 15.00 for one coneflower plant.
also, when choosing any plant....look for the most stalks.
some only have one........don't buy those

See I buy everything over the years and I cannot afford hundreds of dollars each summer........but the ones I do buy, have at least 3 stalks and are big and healthy.
now some plants will only have one stalk because that is how they grow them.........but most have 2 - 4, so looks for the most, same as in a shrub. etc.

So, what do I do here? Do I buy, say like 3 pots of the same flower or different ones?

Then I guess I will start with 4 - 2 of each. My daylilies are orange so I'm thinking of going either a blue or purple flower. The lilies bloom in late June so I want something for the rest of the summer.

the coneflowers blooms a long time, usually 4 weeks.....but not until August.
but in your zone, they may bloom at a different time.

Campanula comes in a deep blue, and they flower for a long time.
they are shorter than coneflowers so put them in front of the coneflowers.
they grow up to around 6 inches and are for full sun.
will check for more later.....just gonna have some lunch.

I will check those two out in a bit. I think I will place them in front of the daylilies?

They come as plants so I don't have to bother with the fall planting of bulbs but will get some at the end of summer. They have loads of them in the stores and they are cheap.

anything I have suggested are plants..........I hate fall bulbs with the squirrels!
also when planting, dig out the hole and put new top soil around it.......after planting.......add new top soil........
and each spring...turn over all top soil.

No. The other one. It's about 2 1/2 yrs old...a Dell. I'm going to look into selling it but whoever buys it will have to get their own memory for it and you can get that at any pc store.
