Yesterday was beautiful, full sun & around 70F. Kids were in shorts & short sleeve shirts, etc., biking and playing outside. Today is drab:-5

How's it going with the non-smoking? I know it's sooooo hard, but you can do it...yes, you can:-6 I just heard on the radio today that if you want to give up smoking, you might need to do it with a little medication like the patches. If you go cold turkey, you have a 3% chance of giving it up, but with some meds you have a 30% chance, and if you're really psyched, you have it made.....

Thanks Kathy:Dthe patches are not really medication though they are nicotine,, so i cant see the point of using them as you have to stop at some point and then its like you just stopped smoking that day

:wah: well i mean there has to come a point when you do witout altogether so why put it off:-3 Anyway ,,, 3 weeks now so far:guitarist:D

Good for you Kaz!!!! Congrads...my dad went cold turkey as he didn't the point of the patch either. Been smoke free for 3 yrs now.

what those patches do is give you nicotine, but you go down to a smaller size ever few weeks until the craving is no longer there. Mike went on them...they worked amazing, accept he had nightmares...which is common.

your doing great kaz, 3 weeks cold turkey?

hi Kathy.. thanks:Dim still off the fags,, i do find they pop in to my mind less and less,, but i still feel like eating more

its not sweets and stuff to replace the habit of smoking,, not munchies etc... but i actually feel hungry ,,, more often than i did before? maybe i smoked before when really i was just hungry
