Well. I've had a great day. A good day on the poppy collection again. The youth who I posted was due for a very nasty surprise after my run in with him had his very nasty surprise last night by local police. I don't think he will be up to that kind of behaviour again!!! I have not pressed charges against the lad, I think he's learnt something as it is. The youth Pete caught is well and truely in the poo poo with the police.

Last night I e mailed one of my local police about concerns for tomorrow night re: Halloween and he called in the shop tonight to tell us in person that all beat Units are primed for tomorrow night and will be patrolling in force.

Sorry to hear about your tank Joan. Is there anything you can rig up to stop him jumping up there?

It's the teenagers who use It as an excuse to basically commit criminal damage. They get drunk and then hoards of them pile in the take-away abusing the staff like last year. I'm dreading tomorrow night up there but they have promised us extra patrols. I thought it was great of the Officer I e mailed to call in and speak to us tonight himself. Wish we had more like him and his crew.



Odikins the stray has been in the house tonight. Mulder was not happy and growled at her but that's a territory thing. He will come round to her. I want her in and settled before the really cold wet weather sets in. She's putting on weight and has grown since she was first abandoned.

Great night and the local Police were fantastic re: Halloween. I've been in the take-away all night and one of my local officers called in to say Hi. He told me he'd been round my house to check on the lane and said 'Your dogs are barking'. :wah: Bloody fireworks going off all night.

My Oscar has fallen for Odikins the stray. She came in last night but just before I went to bed, she wanted to go out with Oscar so the pair of them spent the night on the furnature round the back patio. I think It's love :-4

Had a huge delivery from the Deli tonight so Odikins has some prime ham coming for her supper.

We are marching Sunday with the British Legion war vets and the police. Will get some pics again for you. We have a brass band and It's brilliant. Last year, it poured with rain so I hope the weather is better this year.

Do you compost your leaves? I recently had two 15ft trees removed from the garden. I'm afraid after 13 years of Mulder cocking his leg on them, they were in danger of falling over onto the roof. I used to gather all the leaves and compost them.

I don't compost leaves, we have to rake them into piles and we buy special brown paper bags....It's absolutely back breaking for me do this, spent 3 hours yesterday doing this, and that was just the front yard....now today...tons more leaves..I have put out 15 bags for pick-up tomorrow!:-5:-5

Oscar is not fixed and I'm sure Odikins is way too young to have been fixed. We are getting her down the vet monday to have flea treatment and worming.

We have bloody fireworks going off everywhere here and Puppy is driving me mad barking at them. The others take no notice at all.
