Me and Snooze are having a trial separation and discussions re: custody of our hyena are ongoing. It's nothing we can't work through though. She just caught me fooling around with everyone at FG, but she knows I love her dearly:-4

Got an appointment in half an hour. Had to work Saturday and Sunday, and on both occasions, when my eye was watering, I had to work with one eye closed.

The sniping at Jives over the last three or four weeks has in my opinion been entirely from me, not from Snooze at all. It stems from an extraordinary evening in which Jives totally lost control and melted down in front of everyone, at which point I washed my hands in true Pontius Pilate fashion and referred to the event as his resignation. I've been staggeringly rude to him ever since. Snooze has played Satan's little imp on and off this year, re-raising dead threads, because she thinks it's funny. It's about as funny as continually shooting a dead cat with a BB gun to watch the maggots fly off. Snooze needs a course in dignified deportment. I, on the other hand, have been furious with the man and with good cause. If you want to have a go at the reason Jives might be edgy about posting this month, you might address me instead of her.

I'd offer to shake hands with Jives if it got him back into the open. Do you really think it can? I don't. I think he has too many backs up to survive, whether it's me or any of the other "1500 members" he was flinging around last year. So I lost my temper with him. Believe me, it was both enjoyable and long overdue. I may have used the word "sanctimonious" at some point recently. Damn right too. Snooze isn't the problem here, I am.

The only reason I'm posting this is because we've met and I think you believe I can be rational and fair. I think what's in this post is entirely true and not slanted. I think Snooze (and a few others) have allowed a trivial animosity toward Jives to remain visible for too long. I think the only person who's actively tried to savage him of late has been me. I think I'm the one you should be dressing down.

this topic is for anything RANDOM. these recent discussions are anything BUT random. i'm getting extraordinarily tired of these interpersonal differences being aired in open threads. there may be some value in it; i tend to think not. meta-analysis, and meta-meta-analysis, rarely amounts to anything more than mental masturbation. except there's no payoff at the end.
