Poor Peanut, she has gone through so much, but as I said remember, your one the one person that cared enough to save her.
hugs to Peanuts.
I don't think Peanut is long for this world to be honest but we couldn't let the Infection spread.
Yes, Politicians can be extremely childish. I am representing the Party tomorrow asking an MP questions about building more houses on our countryside. :-5 Me and many others I must add.

Well, I hope you haven't as much rain as we have here. It's torrential and Pete is on a river bank somewhere in all that :yh_rotfl
I decided not to go to the answer and Question session with the MP today. He is a Tory and will say anything to get votes in the election which means he will just say how terrible it is that Gordon Brown is destroying our countryside. As I also oppose It, there is not a lot of point going but It's just that the Party like you to be at these things to get your face seen.
I got sent an e mail last night from the Party of all the meetings with Council coming up this week and they want me at as many as poss to get my face known. It's very tiring at the moment. This is along with all the books and Imfo they have given me to read. I start some Intensive training soon at Party HQ which I'm looking forward to.
Will you still love me when I'm a famous Politician? :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

I just rang Pete. They are just packing up to come home. They are soaked and in the dark now but no Barbel. Plenty of other catches and another of Pete's mates has caught his best ever Carp today but no elusive Barbel.

It's against the law to kill them here. This poses a problem as apparently Carp is the National Polish dish. We have many Polish people in Britian and they have been In big trouble for taking them.

I'm not sure if I want to know what Carp tastes like!
Good grief!
I'd have to assume the taste of Carp is much similar to Catfish? Just that the coloration of Carp tends to,..well,..make me want to vomit. They don't look like healthy fish.

Another horrid rainy, windy day.
Oscar rant coming up now..:-5
It didn't take long did It?
Just 5 days after a moving service and laying our wreaths, solomonly promising that we would never forget, I had to get the police out to a group of around 20 teenagers tonight who used the War memorial gardens as a playground. They were obviousley too stupid to notice the pile of newly laid wreaths and crosses. When the police arrived they got the usual 'Oh shut up, I ain't dun nuffin'. The police took all their names and addresses and gave them a talking about having some respect.

It's funny because I have always blamed the lack of education about our wars for the seemingly lack of respect from some kids, yet throughout Poppy fortnight, I came to the conclusion that education is not to blame. These kids DO know what war memorials are for, they DO know what Poppy collection and the wreaths are for... Just a few brainless morons don't actually care :-5:-5
Once again the police were very good.
I can't say more but do you remember me telling you that our favourite Police Officer was under Investigation for assault during an arrest? I was sworn to secrecy but the result Is not what I wanted and I'm gutted for him. He was one of the best.

Another cold rainy day but I heard some news that me smile today. The local bobby told me that they did actually arrest one youth last night for a public order offence for behaving like a moron on the war memorial. At last !!!! By 10.30 pm tonight, due to gale force winds, we had to gather up the wreaths to put back on the cross and they were all rain soaked.
Such a shame to see that but what can you do with the weather?
Thanks Odie for the loevely photo comments you left me. Yes, that suit is one of my favourites. The skirt fans out at the bottom and I love It.

We've heard about your weather over here, such winds and so much rain!
A lot of roads seemed to be washed out.
There isn't much you can do about weather, but it was nice of you to gather up the wreaths.
I am very happy to hear one of the police did arrest a youth. A few youths here were caught urinating on headstones today!:-5:-5

I've been doing Parlimentary Candidate good deeds today to build my profile for the election. I went out to talk to Anglers on the river this morning to tell them that our Party is commited to preserving the quality of the rivers and stock to get votes.
I have been up all night with Scully. Long story but we didn't get to sleep until around 7 am. I haven't a clue what's wrong with her but we broke all the rules of the house last night and let her get on the bed. She was panting and trembling. She's going to the vet in the morning along with Peanut who's having her stiches re-done. They will stitch her missing eye over. :-4
This afternoon I decided to decorate my bedroom before Xmas... the last room to do. I bought some carpet today in a deep burgundy colour. The animals don't get in there and I'm fed up with those tiles being so cold.
I see you got rid of the fly's in your cafe? And where is my cafe and farm gift, oh and my fish gift? eh eh eh ?:wah:

If I can find the pics on Peter's pc. I'll post up the pics of Scully's leg on this thread. She's 13 years old and In that time she has had 3 major surgeries on her leg. She has had acute Cruciate Ligament erosion that led to severe Crepitus In other words, her Cruciate Ligament between the knee joint and completley eroded until she had bone on bone. The first 2 lots of major surgery failed after a few weeks so the 3rd time the vet, believe It or not, actually sewed the bones together with 50 lb breaking strain fishing wire. That was around 6 years ago and has served her well. It may be due to the amount of hard exercise she got when she was younger.
She's got her tail between her legs and the vet says the panting is a sign of pain. He advised us to give her aspirin in her food which she is off at the moment. When she gets to the vet, he'll X Ray her as there is every chance she may have popped the bones out again. If she has, She will have to have her leg removed. When she went for the 3 rd Operation, the vet said he could not keep putting her under so If It has gone, that Is the only option. I will let you know asap. I will let her In the bedroom tonight again as she seems to sleep If she's near us.
How are you? I have sent you a reminder as a neighbour on farmville. If your not getting your updates on facebook, then send me a neighbour request by going Into your neighbours on your farm and do It that way.
Catch you soon Buddy

Had another bad night with Scully but the aspirin seemed to help. She's home from the vets and they don't want to do anything yet but just see how she goes. Peanut is also back from the vet and sleeping off the aneasthetc. God... they cost me a fortune !!! I have to bathe Peanuts eye every four hours now.
I wonder how many people have set fire to a packet of painkillers and melted them?:yh_rotfl I left a packet on the Halogen hob last night and then turned the hob on. I wondered what the smell was and the cardboard box was on fire :yh_rotfl
Have you got rid of all your leaves yet??

I had a lazy day today apart from work tonight. Nothing exciting to report. Peanut is more active today so looks like she may amke a good recovery.
