Many thanks to her and so many of my friends on here who left me messages, have e.mailed me and telephoned me after the tragic death of our dear little Dougal.

In the short time we had him he was an absolute joy and gave us both a new lease of life,he loved his walk and he would run and we couldn't believe how fast on those little legs, unfortunately that was his downfall, there was hardly a mark on him but a litle bit of skin off his nose,a lost tooth and I would imagine the speed he was running and the impact with the car is what broke his neck.

The poetry I have received from one or two has been very touching and it has made me realise the wonderful togetherness we have on this thread and from friends on other threads who post on here.

None of us have ever met physically but the bond between us is unbelievable.

Goodbye and God Bless my little darling and Thank you too for all the love you gave your daddy and me in the very short time you were with us, you have left so much love behind for so many who knew you.

My Friend.........My Dear Friend....again reading your post here Im lost for words.Yes Joan we found each other on a screen and yes some of us will never meet but I will tell you this my lovely friend. The PC is a very powerful machine where feelings and emotions are unexplainable. I have found some great friends on here with a bond that I hope will be there forever. One in particular has changed my entire life. Make no m istake about it I have also shed many tears on here and has witnessed online bullying of the first degree but through every rainbow there are clouds and as in our everyday life......life isn't all roses and honey and has to be dealt with the best way we can.So even though its been hard in this world of the internet at times when I think about the lovely people I have made contact with I am so thankful to be part of this crazy world.

Dougal you dear sweet little boy......you made 2 people in this world very happy and although your life was cut short..... in the time you spent with our Joan and Tony they gave you more love than many little dogs know in their entire lifetime. My heart is also full of pain that you had to go but thankyou for coming into my dear friends life and although you may not be there now the love you gave out will never die. xxxxxxx

Joan, i cant speak as well as Carol can, but i think you know all our thoughts are with you. I know how much you loved dougal, and he was a very lucky little doggie to have found you two. Take care :yh_hugs Kaz.

EXERCISE!

Every day I am bombarded

In each direction that I turn

By those who claim that EXERCISE

Causes flab to crash and burn!

I did jumping jacks and sit ups

Went out and bought that darn machine

The one that guarantees in 30 days

I'd be trim and fit and lean...

I put it in the extra room

That we affectionately call the "gym"

With all the other paraphenalia

That will one day make me slim!

Ab mats for doing crunches

A small tramp to run in place

That awful, go-nowhere pedaling bike

That only leaves me red of face!

I have workout clothes and sweat bands

Even a "get-fit" coffee cup!

But that scale hasn't budged an inch

So, I'm on the verge of giving up!

I've just about convinced myself

That it's true what some folks say...

You have heard it too......Eat Right!

Get Fit? Die anyway!!

So for those who are devoted

To trying to make me over, PLEASE!

If God wanted me to touch my toes

He would have put them on my knees!

I believe He loves us as we are

That includes both big AND small

So when I reach the gates of Heaven

It will be with flab and all!

Joan , love, I was so sorry to hear about your little Dougal. Very quickly they become part of the family don't they, and when they go I know it's like you've lost a child. Such a heartbreak for both of you Joan, but Dougal has left you some lovely memories I know.

Joan lovely words,Its hard to lose a pet I have lost 2 in the past, some low life poisened them its heartbreaking but u will recover and so will ur hubby in time.You only remember the good times and a smile will come to ur face, thats wot I do.They say there is a reason for everything I dont quite know who they are but you tend to wonder for what reason did this happen.Belive me It will get easier.Love to u and ur family tcxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAli.:-1 :-1

Ive just got in from a booty..........my goodness it was cold......infact it was flipping cold!!! There was a fire tonight in the area and I have to say a big thankyou to all our firefighters as when I had a fire a couple of years ago they were just wonderful.......so any of you out there who is a firefighter..............well done

i had no idea that piccy would come out as big as it did !! but thats my local beach.

stroller,

i can boast the fact that i competed against marion on many occasions when we were kids but she was obviously better at it than i was , lol:wah: they lived just down the road from me.

on a sadder note, i had a message from a good friend of mine this morning. (she's the one from the boscastle thread on frc who took my cat in when i had to move house )

her dad is in hospital and they were asked to go in early this morning to be with him. he's 80yrs old and has been very ill this last couple of months and im praying its not going to be bad news.

Well the barbie went quite well,, it didnt rain and it wasnt too bad outside really, there was a bit of a wind but it died down later. Everyone had a good time, drank a bit and sang silly songs,:wah: My daughter came home with me and styaed her as her partner is away in Vegas at the mo,, and guess what?
