Ours was in 1999 with Hurricane Floyd. Devastated the town next to mine as they are lower and near the creek which overflowed big time and wiped out entire blocks of houses. We were the only ones on our street where the basement didn't flood. Sump pump.

Today my daughters high school was closed for the 2nd time in a month due to arson. The first one was in the library, the one today was in the gym. Today's was worse and they had to bring in HAZMAT because the gym is so close to the science labs.

They do have some camera's, but I doubt they show much in the middle of the night in the darkness, this is when it happens. Alarms would be a good idea, but our board of education are all idiots!

This sort of BS never even came close before! the major cities here. have gangs in the schools really bad. but it is spreading everywhere. My daughter graduated from high school in 2000. never had that go on when she was in school.

I have a migraine, all night in the ER with my husband and all morning at the doctor's with him......He is okey dokey now, just tired and sore all over. (he had a seizure) The rest of the complaining I will leave to the poor sub who has my students right now..........and all the work those students better be doing!

Yes, he is better today. Just alot of bruises, and his poor tongue is a mess-oatmeal and soup for him! I am taking a nap in awhile if he goes to sleep....and will have to have my cell on my 24/7, I was at TKD, my son was home with him-smart kid, called 911, they came and got him, he left me 36 messages (in a 50 minute period!) I felt bad I wasn't there, and will have to take the cell with me into the dojang next time or no more totting out for a break anymore.

I sure hope you are able to get some good sleep...those all nighters in the ER are really hard.

What's really got me worried is this happened just before the Homecoming dance which is Saturday in the gym. Makes me want to keep the daughter home, but I'm sure they'll have all kinds of security for the dance.

It's hard to explain him except he has a womans emotions, and I'm quite the opposite. I've tried to approach the subject a few times, then he starts getting all worked up and his emotions go insane....so I just shut my mouth and go back to pretending. I know I've got to get this out or it will build up until I hit explosion mode...then God help anyone that is around me.

Life is good. Patience truly is a virtue and things are coming together nicely.

Im liking myself on a more constant level and I can see Im slowly evolving on a scale in which boundaries appear to be minor obstacles or challenges that seem meager in comparison to my determination.

Im gaining strength accompanied by minor set backs that further fuel my determination.

This train is rolling.

I know you love your husband, BUT i have nearly DROWNED mentally because i put everyone's NEEDS before my own. You have to be all together, To deal with problems. REMEMBER you are important too:)

Yeah, I have a counselor that I see about every 2 weeks and I talk to her about it. I have a really hard time with my identity...like you said, everyone elses needs always comes first. I have a hard time with emotions too since I was an alcoholic for so many years...I'm emotionally challenged. :wah:
