Yes, Wed. and Lit. are a pip-Stephen King, the Three Cycle of Whatever, and To Kill a Mockingbird is quite popular lately.

I still want to know the link with history and musicals-Gilbert and Sullivan, those songs I never know, but the 1950s musicals I do.

I remember Ros asking that question - I told her they were older than she is so it must be history. She was not impressed :-)

To complete the answer - the questions are randomly set from within the day's topic every few minutes.

Do we all get the same questions ?

It always tickles me when at number four or five or six, it says "An easy one to start with....."

No, they are mixed up-some of us get the same one but you never know.

So when you get 10 out of 10 they could be an easier selection, hardly seems fair ?

Because they are all repeated over time ?

I would fail to read the questions sometimes, in the time others have read and answered.

Oh, I never get close to the time. I'm usually either on the phone or in and out of my office, running back and forth, do this in between...lol

I think if you only see 10 questions on a given topic in a week, and there are several thousand questions being randomly selected for that topic and more added all the time, you're unlikely to know the answers to a significant proportion of them as a result of prior exposure within the quiz. Knowing them for other, presumably trivial, reasons, is what's being tested.

If we carry a dozen or so players into August then the trivia competition will get quite healthy. It's a while since that number were in there.

Chonsigirl ought to have won the month award, yesterday. She was ahead by a point at the end of February 28th which is pretty cut and dried but then we had the intercalated leap day and she slipped to second. It was as about close a result as it can get.

Off we go again and this is a general notice to all potential players so they can bookmark the playing site. The scores were all reset this morning and it's a clean slate. The more the merrier.

No taking advantage of a few days absence on my part.

So leap day did me in last month. :)

Well, one big flying leap in TKD did my knee in, it is being fixed tomorrow. See you on the flip side of surgery. :(

I wonder if pain killers will affect my score........ :))

It did, didn't it - you went into leap day a point ahead.

Surgery on knees is one of those potential events I'd be terrified of but that's just me and my phobias - perhaps I trapped a nerve once too often there as a child. I hope you come back improved. As for the trivia you've been pulling back steadily all week and I can't fend you off much longer.

If you take your laptop you could take your mind off the work the surgeon is doing - probably wouldn't do much for your score that day but...

Hope the surgery goes well :-)

It went well, lot of repair work. He will tell me what he did Monday, I just know I went in with meniscus and ACL stuff, but something else came up before I went in. (probably because they let me walk on it for 4 months, the original doctor didn't believe I had more than a sprain.....duh!) Only missed one day with Trivia.... :)
