What about some good English sausage Woppy71!!! Something I miss here. I think our aussie sausages have actual meat in them, which ruins them somehow. And bacon and eggs.
You're a Linux man !!! I must say I felt immensely purer using Linux. But my single blonde neuron had loads less debugging to do using narsty old Windows software... grin.

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. All of a
sudden, he said out loud, "Lord grant me one wish."
Suddenly the sky clouded above his head and in a booming voice the Lord
said, "Because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will
grant you one wish."
The man said, "Build a bridge to Hawaii, so I can drive over anytime I
want to."
The Lord said, "Your request is very materialistic. Think of the
logistics of that kind of undertaking. The supports required reaching
the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! I can
do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things.
Take a little more time and think of another wish, a wish you think
would honor and glorify me."
The man thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "Lord, I wish
that I could understand women. I want to know how they feel inside, what
they are thinking when they give me the silent treatment, why they cry,
what they mean when they say 'nothing', and how I can make a woman truly
happy."
After a few minutes God said, "You want two lanes or four on that
bridge?"

I was just waiting for Fish & Chips in the queue at my local Chip shop when this guy walks in with a fish under his arm !!!
He asked the girl behind the counter if they sold fishcakes.
She said that they did.
He said "Oh thank God for that, it's his birthday today" :-3

Fireworks are almost banned here now. You hafta get a licence!! Anyway as for getting creative, I suddenly remembered I'd got really creative apparently in 1999 and penned some immortal verse in honour of Aussie cracker night (early June), which officially celebrates the birthday of Queen Elizabeth (who embarrassingly is legally Queen of Australia).. it's actually the start of the ski season here too, much more important.

Wow Pam! Great poem. I have fond memories of childhood around firecrackers. We could get much more powerful ones back then. Later when a teen I got hold of dynamite and had great fun with that too. They say ignorance is bliss and i have to say I was ignorant and blissful. Carrying dynamite around in my hip pocket in July. It gets squishy yes, but I had no idea it got really unstable in that state.

Not at this point, my husband is very frail right now, but should pick up within a week or so-at least the docotor said so. (he weighs only 138 now, but they say the radiation pill worked on the blood test) If he picks up some weight in a week, I might try the nurse or tell my in-laws they must stay with him for 2-3 days. (The problem with that-they have never visited us once at out home, 3 hour drive away-I had to scream and holler for them to see him in the hospital when he was first ill and dying)
I would feel bad if I only returned home when it was too late, and it was for their funerals. My grandmother broke her hip-but she is 96, I understand she is old, but I love her dearly. But my younger brother Roger, he is in serious condition, all from a damn spider bite, and is not getting better. That one is hard, he is my baby brother. He is partially paralyzed and horribly disfugured, the calls keep coming in since yesterday. I think they are trying to break it to me slowly how bad he is. I do not understand such a horrible allergic reaction, and that he might not survive.

I am going to start checking out airlines, so I am prepared when my mother calls. I explained it my husband, as much as he understands it. He does not have a close family-only one sister, and they do not talk to each other. She has never visited him since his illness, 20-30 minute drive away. Or been to our home. I do not understand.
For my family, we are 6-3 boys, 3 girls. We are the Brady Bunch kids of the 60s, and we love each dearly. That is how I view family, through my rose colored glasses because that is how we are. But if my older brother John called me last night, and is starting to cry, it must be very bad.
