Thank you so much Gill for having confidence in me. The class started with 20 applicants (only three of us were females) and two of them didn't make it to the final written and dive test. There are ten of us left right now. I am the only surviving female with nine men. Woot! Imagine me and nine men :wah: We have no life jackets/preservers, buoyancy aid on for this test. The reasoning is that if were truly a water rescue, you wouldn't be wearing any of that. I'm feeling pumped up and better and I'm ready to prove that I deserve a spot on this team. If for some reason I don't make it, I went "down" trying :wah:

That's strange, I guess I watch to much t.v. as the rescuers wear life jackets.

I used to lifeguard in my teens. It paid better than most jobs and most of the time you do practically NOTHIN!:D

I used to sit back and eat a whole large bag of Doritoes after i did 80 lengths then opened the pool! Ah, those were the days......

Good morning everyone (I think). I passed the written exam this morning but they have called off the dive test due to the winds today: TODAY - Becoming sunny. Highs in the upper 20s. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. I'm very disappointed as I was ready to go and get it over with (one way or the other) :-1

Sorry about the practical, though, as you'd got yourself all psyched up for it. Still, better to be safe than take unnecessary risks, after all it is only a test and not an actual situation! I don't suppose they will want to delay the testing too much, knowing that people will want to get it over with and qualify. (Hopefully the temps will be a little better for when the practical is rearranged ! )

Oh, I'm glad that you miss Noo Joisey Jazzy. It's nice to hear good things about our state.

Things are great. I'm in Siesta Key, FL and enjoying every minute of it. It's lovely here and 20 degrees warmer than NJ.

my clown fish aren't doing well at all, one is on the bottom laying down, barely breathing and the other one is there keeping him company, unless they are both dying, they have been inseparable since they have been sick, one was always trying to get the parasites off the other.

Good morning :-6 Just wanted to let you know that I took and passed the dive test yesterday afternoon! It was brutal but I made the team :guitarist

Nice and :-6 here today with the highs going in the mid 70's
