class work starts Nov.7th. Monday, Tuesday,

PT thursday, Saturday

Full time class, when i'll be offically recognized as a cadette starts Monday January 16th.

From what i understand, Thurs and Sat is nothing but Running and Puking.

Sounds like fun..............NOT

the one thing i am looking forward to in this class is shooting. I am decent with a handgun, excellent with a shotgun and not too shabby with a rifle.

I could really use the help with Handguns. i doubt my home town will let me carry a pump action as my primary weapon.

it's been moved out to Camp Dodge. So i'll be running with other cadettes, and guys out for Nat'l Guard drill.

so Monday was fairly simple. meet and greet with the instructors. tour of Camp Dodge(Iowa Nat'l Guard HQ).

Tueaday doeve right into classes. Psychology. I spoke with Instructor Smith, he wants me to come back to this class in January. The initial stuff would only be going over what i already know. I am the only one with a BA, and i am the second oldest. Ray is 31. the rest are all 19-22

spent the remainder of the day going over all the different laws. what constitues a misdemeanor, felnoy. class A, B, C.

and some role playing; "what would you do in this situation."

thursday.... aw crap. 4 miles in 30 minutes. the last mile was a sprint. I heeved.

we all did. Up/Downs, crunches, and about a 1,000 push-ups.

i couldn't lift my arms Friday.

Sgt Cruz is having Ray and I go to Fridays for PT after this week.

go back out today and run some more at 1100 hours.

good thing from this so far.... haven't had a cig since Thursday. they hurt.

just very well-fitting comfy shoes, and perhaps gel inserts. you definately need good support for insoles and ankles. but i'm sure you realize that! when you go to buy combat boots, get magnums. expensive, but the best, they'll last for years.

I have to say a policeman in full uniform is very dashing .When i went to Hendon in the UK i was like a kid in a sweet shop . Couldnt keep me eyes straight . Come on wolfy show us a piccy .

yep. 24 of us. me and Ray are the old men. he's 31 or 32. i'm going to be 27.
