Depression Break through

I found this incredibly interesting last nite and only have a wee bit to share.

Scientists discovered that folks who have suffered a major depression in their lives have been found to have some dead brain cells as a result of the trauma. This means that when we humans are forced to deal with some serious life issues we are actually killing off some or our brain cells, it isn't a chemical imbalance. It is like a wound. Having learned this, they now have the ability to go forward and find away to cure this or heal these cells before they die. They also still maintain that is can be hereditary. But wow interesting to know it's a kind of brain hurt. Makes sense really cause it is always brought on by some sort of awful event in our lives.

Just food for thought today.

I must be one of the lucky ones, my head is so full of sawdust that there's nothing there for depression to eat. :wah:

I think I would say you are blessed hehehehehe I had a brief encounter with the deperssion the put me on "the meds" and I took myself off after about 3 months, the side effects of the meds were way worse than the supposed depression. It may have been mind over matter, but for the 3 months I did manage to feel way better.

My ex mom-in-law suffered from depression and what she called nerves for most of her adult life, she could never get off her meds.

She died a few years back, was it because she had no brain cells left. :wah:

Sorry Bertha I loved ya really

What we need to do is to get Venus onto the operating table. We need laughing gas. We need to open up the cranium and get into the pleasure centre. We need to carefully prise out all the blue meanies we can find until Venus's laughter itself ejects the rest. Then we will need to put the cranium back on and arouse laughing Venus. Then we will have to figure out a way of pausing Venus's laughter so that we can think what to do next.:wah:

only speculation on my part but maybe some have the ability to heal easier? I dunno that part they didn't get to far into.

I don't buy it.

A chemical imbalance makes far more sense than dead brain cells. If that were the case..let's see...30 years or so...I would be rendered stupid with all the lost cells I'd have. It just doesn't sound plausible to me. :-3

But dead cells wouldn't remain where they were, they're disposed of!
