awww I think that has to be a typical reaction considering what you are going through. I bet other family members are feeling similar skittles, just don't keep it all inside you find a way to use the anger towards something good even if it means coming on here and typing all your rage out. It could help.

I love the smell, the sounds, the TASTES, the atmosphere, the pressies, the good moods. I love that they play the same old xmas movies every year. I love it, love it love it. This year I'm going to Hamburg for xmas

My ex, before I finally got away from him, did his best to be sure I hated and feared any holiday. And surprises. It hasn't gotten much better since him.

i both love and hate them.
i love it because it means sleeping in and playing playstation.
i hate it because in the 6 weeks of holidays we have coming up theres a pretty good chance i won't do anything social.

Some pretty powerful sentiments here.
The holidays are meant for us to celebrate all the GOOD things we have, instead of focusing on all the bad we have the rest of the year. They are meant to be a respite of a few days, from all the drudgery and toil and troubles. If you cant enjoy a few moments of peace, then you have it all wrong.
