This is a nutter with a gun not a terrorist. If it was they would all be dead by now.

They do things like blow themselves up if they're islamic fundamentalist, Blow up abortion clinics if they are christian fundamentalists, place bombs in litter bins or leave bags containing explosives in pubs like the IRA used to do. Comparing this kind of thing with terrorism confuses the issue.

The Pierce County court files indicate that Maldonado had struggled with drugs for years. In 1998, after being convicted of burglary and theft, he was ordered into treatment and to submit to random drug testing. In 2003, after Maldonado pleaded guilty to burglary, a judge "strongly recommended" that he be sent to boot camp. The file does not indicate whether that occurred.

He was just a punk GMC. If terrorists were to get the same idea in a public place somewhere it would be bad. Malls are really soft targets. We also have very few police here that could handle it.


Think i kind of misread the point of your thread.

It would hardly be new for terrorists to target shopping areas, pubs, subway stations, street furniture-at one point all metal rubbish bins were removed from streets in London none of the railway stations have bins as they were too good a place to hide a bomb. We have a whole generation used to just dropping the rubbish on the ground.

I suspect your police would learn very quickly if they had to.
