Knew that would be an attention grabber!!!



Anybody know why pharmacists are always raised up above where you

pay for your prescriptions? Is it just a holdover from the "olden days"?

Ever one I've ever gone to it seems they're up at least a couple steps

and it doesn't really make any sense.

A couple of reasons.

1. In the old days, it was to keep customers from reaching across the counter and stealing drugs.

2. Today, due to the Medical Privacy hysteria, they either build the floor high or provide screens to keep people from seeing information about other customers.

My wife is a Pharmacist. And yes, she is pretty divine.

Ah crap, I thought that American pharmascists were getting wasted on their own prescriptions, but it turns out that their counters are the problem. Erm, we don't actually have this one here, our Pharmacists are content to dispense their awesome power at ground level, you know the U.S. is a funny country sometimes. My friend got stopped once in L.A. somewhere and the policeman told her that she waasn't allowed to smoke on the street, unless she was moving? She didn't really know how to give a smart answer to that so she just walked up the road and back down again, smoking, very strange?
