Come on now, everyone always doesn't get what they want for Christmas! How many of you men have received the ugliest ties in the world, or ladies an article of clothing you wouldn't be caught dead in. Two years ago my husband bought me a sweater-oh, it was gorgeous. But the size! He didn't know my size, and asked a lady who was shopping nearby what size I would probably wear. Well, this lady told him a 2X or 3X should fit me just fine! Holey Moley! I could have put three of me in that sweater. I am sure you all have many interesting stories of the Christmas present that shouldn't have been given.

It was the biggest thing I have ever seen-I think it was Sears. I think the lady must have told him that to be funny, or it was her size or something.

I remember getting a stuffed cow when I was 7, when I really wanted a violin. My mother told me I couldn't have a violin, I had to learn the piano instead.

2 years ago my husband bought me an electric scooter thinking I could ride it to the store if he was at work instead of walking. Guess it's the thought that counts, but at 43 years old, I was not about to be seen on it.:-5

Many years ago (around the time that Lorena Bobbitt was arrested) my then husband told me that he wanted a divorce right before Christmas and gave me my presents early. He gave me a set of kitchen knives and one of those electric grinder things. You can bet I had some seriously not nice thoughts.

Ummm mine, well it was a practical gift, and at 20 who the heck wants practical. Our tree was barely set and decorated when the first gift beneath it appeared. It was shoved way to the back and stood up on its edge. It was a crude circular box. I was curious as kitten, but knew it was taboo to peak (another story for another time) but it drove me crazy until christmas morning. My brother always was the one who climbed under the tree to sort and distribute the gifts so when he grabbed this one I perked up with great interest. To my surprise he slid it over to me... it was from him, I tore into it like it was a box of chocolates. Once I pulled all the cardboard away I was sooooo shocked and disappointed to find it was a .......

Hubcap for my car.....

You see earlier in the year (summer) I had lost one of my hubcaps after a night out, seems the curb I ran over after exiting the parkade made me loose my hubcap (alcohol had not affect mind you)

Looking back it was a great gift, but at 20 it sucked hehehehe I still think fondly of that gift even though the car is long gone.

yep after all was said and done I thought the same thing, the thought he put into it was way cool. He was 18 at the time. If nothing else it is my most memorable, oooh no maybe Jr Minks is my most memorable Xmas gift hehehehe

My present came from my sister. Turned out to be the best conversation piece in my house. Friends would see it sitting on the counter and give me the strangest looks....afraid to ask what it really was.

You see, it was 7" of shining chrome with a girth of 2 1/2 inches. Looked more like a fancy vibrator than a "salad dressing sprayer." :wah: Gawd....it was it the funniest gift I had ever received from her, besides the "pet rock!"

Getting told my dad had cancer would have to be the worst one. That and the next one when he wasn't around. I've never been that much into Christmas since then, funnily enough. Sorry bout that, but, honest answer.

When i was 22 my then BF bought me a Teasmaid, i mean WTF!!!

I don't recall getting any bad gifts for Christmas either, but I do remember this one joke my brother played on me one year. I had this beautiful solid white cat and wanted a scratching post for her and told everyone that's what I wanted for Christmas. One day this huge box ended up being in front of the tree since it was to big to put under or beside it and my brother teased me by sitting it on my lap telling me to touch the gift. I knew it had a bell in it from him picking it up and I swore I'd wait till Christmas morning to touch that damn box. I just knew it was that post. Christmas morning rolled around and I was finally able to open that box...............................last, grrrrrr! I had waited atleast two weeks for Christmas morning and didn't get to open it till last! I ripped the five different types of wrapping paper off and opened it only to find a blanket, books, sleeping bag, paper, and the bell. I looked at my brother with tears and said where is it? He jumped up and looked inside and pointed, there taped to the side of that damn box was a small box with a ring inside. I could have killed him! :-5 :wah:

The worst gift I ever got was last year from my husband...It was a life insurance policy.......Talk about PI$$ed off!

The worst gift I ever got would have been horrendously romantic, had it come from someone who hadn't been stalking me, I suppose. I'd broken up with this boy on the basis that he was a psychopath and I wanted nothing to do with him. I'd made it perfectly clear that I wanted him to stop showing up at my place of work, my school and my apartment and that if he liked his nose unbroken he was going to stay away. So what does he do? He shows up one night when I'm out walking (yes, I walk in the winter) and PROPOSES to me! I did the only logical thing I could do at the time---took off running down the street! At the time, I was afraid of him chasing me down, but now I think it's tremendously funny.
