He was 65 and suffered a very long time. I hope one of the cable channels does a marathon of his movies. He was great!

Comedian Richard Pryor died Saturday of a heart attack, his wife told CNN. He was 65. Pryor had been ill with multiple sclerosis. Pryor became a legend of comedy by tapping his rage and agonies for laughs. He was the biggest name in standup comedy in the 1970s, winning Grammy awards for his comedy albums. He also appeared in nearly 40 films. Pryor had long been in fragile health. He suffered a massive heart attack and underwent triple bypass surgery in 1990.

Pryor was a comic genius, his timing was perfect... After he tried free basing and set himself on fire he began a life of pain and health problems. He was extremely funny I remember watching his show and laughing till I cried.. It was the look on his face that did me in... REST IN PEACE RICHARD..!! :-4

I loved Pryor.
His and Gene Wilders movies had me laughing so hard l cried, and being the age l am l adored him in Superman...

I saw the video of his concert he made after he nearly burned himself up. I tried to find the pic but couldn't. His closing line was something like,
"I've heard the jokes ya'll been telling about me." Lights a match & waves it in the air "What's this? Richard Pryor running down the road!" :wah:
