On this date in 1936 Britian's King Edward the VIII abdicated in order

to marry American divorcee Wallis Warfield Simpson.

Do you think he really loved her? Do you think she loved HIM? I've

done a little bit of reading about it, it always fascinated me...

and I think he probably really loved her but she wanted the throne.

Then again, why stay with him all those years when she was sure

she wouldn't ever GET the throne?

It will be that way for you, LC. When Bothwell comes for you, you will give it all up for love.

I gave up everything for love, and I hope I never complain too much on the bad days. I gave up my home, and my job, and my life in L. A. But before my husband was sick, he treated me like a queen, and was the most wonderful man in the world. So I give up what I can now, to make him happy and comfortable.:-4

Oh, I know La Mirada. I taught in La Puente for 8 years. Yes, I grew up there and lived there for 46 years, until I moved here.
