Thank-you to Baby Rider and everyone for your kind words. I didn't realize that my absence had been noticed let alone that I had been missed! (My VoIP thread refers).
What have I been doing? Well - now that I'm retired and don't have to go out each morning I've been fairly busy with my day trading activities via my computer and have also been involved in on-line financial forums where I give advice on a range of financial subjects to existing and potential investors - many of them young people starting out on the road with new jobs and a desire to place their 401(k) plans etc. in the right enviorment for long term growth. I hope I've been able to point some in the right direction! The research required to find suitable investment vehicles is often quite time-consuming.
I also spend time talking to and receiving calls from various friends around the world - people I met during my globe- trotting days!
The birds are fine and with winter here we have the usual visitors to the feeders - snow birds, cardinals and woodpeckers as well as the year-round goldfinches, red-winged blackbirds, etc.
We also have a tame chipmunk in the yard who keeps trying to eat his way in to the basement by chewing through the window screens! We've replaced two already!
Our weather is very cold now - this morning the temp is just 1 F (minus 18 C).
With our hot, humid summers and cold snowy winters it's a very true saying that it never does anything by halves in Pennsylvania! Oh well - at least it's predictable.
Mrs Eagle continues her daily work-outs at her Health Club and has recently taken part in a kick- boxing exhibition for charity. I had better not argue with her!
Again - greetings to all my FG friends and I will try not to be absent for so long next time!
