Buy a small gift for a child. A basketball or walkie talkies for a boy, or something you think a little girl would like. Find out where in your city they are accepting gifts for needy families. then bring the gift in and pat yourself on the back. That should do the trick.

Maybe, some eggnog with Amerretto or Rum would help.
What's troubling you Valerie?
Ah Val, everyone gets the downers at the holiday season. Mine won't hit until next week, when I send the kids off for 5 days, and it will just be my husband and me for Christmas. I will be lucky to get out of the house for church for an hour or two, but otherwise, just 2 for Christmas din-din.
Think of something else besides the holidays, there are plenty of good things going on daily to keep your spirits up.
I'm in a Grinchyish mood myself this year, first time ever. I think it's due to the way things have turned out this year. Christmas is becoming commercialized, I mean come on, they've had Christmas stuff out for almost two months here. I'm trying really hard not to be a Grinch because I love Christmas and the spirit of it. I usually have my tree up and decorated and the outside of my house decorated too by now and this year it's not. I keep putting it off. I feel alone, even though I have my hubby and kids. Why would I feel that way? I shouldn't and yet I do. I'm so depressed right now it's nowhere near funny, I'm never depressed this time of year.........grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! :-5
I looked in the mirror this morning and noticed tiny green hairs starting to grow. I think the power of Grinchmas is working! I think I'll put some reindeer ears on my cats, too.
