I didn't know this: Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker" publicly
premiered on this date in 1892.
I've only seen it performed once, many years ago. Anybody else have
a tradition of seeing it every year?

We took our daughters to see it before Christmas one year when they were young.
What I remember:
Husband wasn't happy to have to drive downtown in all the traffic.
Youngest daughter didn't want to dress up and sit through the program.
I was worried about the snowy weather and the roads.
Oldest daughter was excited about the show and entranced with the performance.
One out of four ain't bad....................

I love it, I watch it on PBS. My daughters have danced sections of it for recitals, it's a lovely piece of music and dance.
