red will fade but can be touched up and white is touchy if you want loads.
Mind you a nice shaded black piece can look impressive too hmmmmmm
Guess it depends on the piece I have one of each and love em equally.

From a little girl on, I've always loved tattoos.
As a young adult, I was too inhibited to step out and blaze that trail.
As a married lady, my husband does not like them.
But who knows what the future may yet hold............... just gathering information and enjoying the tats people are sharing.

you have some??

ps: if yer thinking about a cute butterfly being located on a lovely breast just think about where that butterfly will be by the time yer 60.....
Ahahaha ya know what, I went through 10 years of deliberation before getting my first and believe me breast and belly were no options. I thought about the what ifs long and hard. That is why a pair on mid back and one on my thigh.
Now trying to figure out where to put number 3

I have color in one.. the first one I got.. done in Sinapore ages ago. It has faded but the color can still be seen...
My leg piece is done in grey wash.. it is about 5 - 6 years old and has not faded much..
my last two pieces are done in an onyx scheme.. black outline fading to grey then to white as it moves towards the center.. only thing with getting this scheme is the area gets a bit sore as they do the white or third pass..
Location is key.. I have one on the left side of my chest.. on the back just below the neckline.. lower calf.. and shoulder..

I never was a much of a follower, and I never thought I would ever get a tat.But some thing happened too me in 1983 that became a part of my life forever so I felt that it would a meaningful thing too do.It is in black bold letters and no one really see's it much because I don't flaunt it.I know it's there, and that is what matters too me.I the past years we have seen a explosion of tats of all shapes and colors, not a big deal anymore.although placement is.I often see woman at my gym with tats in diffrent places. Now call me a prude if you will, but I find the idea/fad of placeing one just above the waist line on your back so men can see it is foolish. What I hear from some of the guys around is that it gives off the impression of do me like a like a dog and dump your load here. It's what it is really saying no matter if it is a nice butterfly or a tat of a brick wall.

I'm surprised that all the folks here with ink have not mentioned the talent of the artist. That does have something to do with the longevity of your tattoo. Their technique can have a major effect on how your ink turns out.

I've been wondering about this because I have wanted to get a touch up on my black tattoo since I had chemo. It faded quite a bit during chemo. It happens to be on the arm that they took all the lymph nodes out of. My oncologist says not to do anything that would cause an infection on that arm. Geez - I've already had cuts from gardening that were worse than a tat. I had a tat artist tell me he would only use "one time" needles on the arm. Is that safe? It sounded safe....I am concerned about lymphodema.

Question: Is the pain the same, the second time around.
