This weekend I stated to my family that when all our dogs were gone, I was going to get me a cat again. A BIG cat. A Maine Coon cat.

My husband says to me: "I thought we weren't going to get anymore animals".

I says: "You decided that, I want a cat. And I don't particularly want a purebred one. I'd like a mix of mainly Maine Coon."

"You know we are never going to be without animals, you might as well start going up to the pet shelter and looking now for what you want" says hubby.

"And get it now, I thought I would wait" says I.

"Why" says he.

So now I shall begin my search. Somewhere out there is the perfect little feline for me. I have but to find him/her.

wow please tell me how you got your husband to cave so easily. I want another big dog, but my hubby keeps saying no.

I'm with you, Sojo. If you're gonna have a cat, get one big enough for protection!

Thanks Snooze. I'll check it out. My daughter who lives in Columbus is checking down there too for me. Seems in a college town, the kids move on and the pets stay................ S A D !:(

Yep! He's a biggin' all right!

My Aunt had a Maine Coon mix that she adopted at 5 weeks or so from the shelter. Punkin lived to the ripe old age of 20.

Right now, we have a Tuxedo cat who is cross eyed and cow-hocked. He looks silly, but we love him to death. My next cat, if there ever is one, will be a Maine Coon.

The bobcat looks cool, though!
