Heard of this stuff but I use good old kitty litter for icy spots. Safer for the pets, I think.

hahahaha...not the clumping kind.
The parts store sells a 50# bag of stuff called floor dry for about $6.00. All it is, is kitty litter. Works great on ice or if you need traction.

Kitty litter works great-and I have kids to shovel the driveway, they/re 100% environmentally safe!
