i looked at minksy and hers are 100% mutual

mine, on the other hand, are only 67% mutual.

I went to look at my list, Wolfy, and people I already had down previously as friends do not show up in the percentages. But they are on my friends list.

I'm still trying to make up my mind whether or not this is a High School "who is cool club". I've talked to several people for whom I have a lot of respect. I am thinking I will do it. I really feel uncomfortable with saying who I want on my buddy list or not - What if I miss someone I respect? I have NO problem with people I care nothing about.

lol. It was the ONLY cool show in the 60's when I was growing up, at least the only one we could get in Montana.

Anyhow, I don't think it matters much in the long run, we all know who we respect and who we don't. Everyone here is cool, it's only the occasional webscammer or member thief that we don't like.

And as for adding someone who doesn't add you, I'm sure it's just a matter of communication. I noticed a lot of people that I added don't have me, but then lots of people are just getting into this.

Personally, I think this might be a prelude to "grouping".

In other words, when the forum gets much bigger, (and it will with this new server) eventually, you may not be able to see or reply to those not of your "group".

Kind of a "forced ignore" if you will. That's a way of modding by format. That way, only people who like each other will group together, see each other's posts, and reply to each other. Anyone they don't like will be left out, but since there will be hundreds, maybe thousands of other members, who cares> They'll just make their own group... Hmmmm....that does sound like high school, huh?.:-2

Only explanation I can think of is I replied to everyone who sent me a "be my friend" post. That has to be the only way I got there. Did you turn anyone down Wolver? I don't even know about this feature.

Yep... there is a VERY good reason for this. Just try clicking on the "groups" button in your profile. What you will find is that Tombstone's group is the only one available right now, but what is REALLY interesting is that you can only join that group wiht his permission. I imagine that something similar is going to happen for all of us in the future. Groups based on "buddy" lists.

What exactly does being in a " Group" entail? Are there perks, benefits? secret meetings? Health Insurance? Or is it like being a mason? ( which was a very hot topic here last year) Ive always shunned groups. A religious cult I belonged to in the 70s said that we were the only people going to heaven...... That seemed very lonely... During sorority pledging in high school I could only date guys from our brother fraternitys.... that was too limiting.......Should I reconsider? Tell me about the tombstone group... Im curious
