Mother-In-Laws, some are pushy, nosey, nasty. Some are considerate, kind, nice.
What kind of Mother-In-Law do you have? :-2

My first mom in law was an earth angel - a most wonderful woman. I was heart broken when she died.
My second mom in law I have only met once and she made me feel very small and inferior

not sure that I will ever meet her again as they live 15+ hours drive away and she is not likely to invite me to stay.

My ex Mother in Law - the most opinionated woman I have had the displeasure to meet, and one of those that if you've got something wrong with you she's had it, only twenty times worse, life threatening severity infact!!
She always knew the best way to do everything of course. :-5
Luckily for me she stopped all contact with me the day I left her opinionated bullying son.

I never knew my frist mother-in-law, she was already gone.
My second one-they disliked me from the start and wouldn't speak to the children or me for three years. I sent her flowers in my husband's name one day, and she called to thank him-not me. The in-laws have been very unsupportive for us during this time of my husband's illness, and I am glad they are over 3+ hours drive. Never been down to visit us once, only visited him in the hospital twice when I called them during crisis periods and said they better come. But even then, I had to have her thrown out of ICU for some stupid stuff she was doing.

My mother-in-law has been very good to me in many ways. I love her.
She is a teensy bit "smothering" but it's only because she loves me.
How much better to have that than the alternative?
And after all, she is the woman who truly did "labor" to bring into the
world the baby who would grow up to be my husband!!

I have a great mother n law. She's really sweet and loving. She always invited me to go do art classes with her. She's really talented, but I lack. She finally gave up asking me to go with her after we discovered I could not sculpt either.

Ive had horrible mother in laws.. who always wished they had me back, AFTER ID
disposed of their sons. But I was always nice to them. Thankfully, I dont have one now... or one of their mama boy sons either.

My MIL is crazy...runs hot and cold! Problem is she is getting old now and drives over here constantly. First she calls the house incessantly and if I answer, she says she is coming over. If I don't pick up, then she just drives over. If I am not home or don't answer the door.......SHE LETS HERSELF IN!!!!!! She has a key! How I dont know, but it pisses me off big time. Other times she invites us over and makes these wonderful dinners....I dunno...she loves my children that s for sure.

My M-I-L is the greatest, she's one of a kind. She treats me better then my own mother does. She's "88" now, & still is healthy, hope she's around for many more years to come!
