like many down here, i have a tin roof. something is running around up there, and tap dancing i think! i hear feet constantly! what is it? should i go shoot it? when i go look, it's gone. aarrrggghhhhh!!!

Crows maybe, you could try putting one of those little wind mills (for kids) up there!

Time to get the lawn chair out sit in the yard and see what lands or runs across your roof.. I'm thinking mouse, rat, bird... or god knows what..:-3 I did this at my moms house one day.. it turned out to be the biggest damn crow I had ever seen..:rolleyes:

Maybe flying monkeys? Could be running across your roof just to annoy you then fly into a tree and wait to see if they get you outside to look. :p

You have a tin roof I have a tinfoil hat ??? At least I dont hear tap dancing on my head. :p If you shoot at your tin roof you'll get a bad headache...dont do it !!!

OK LC, I have a 30ft long x 6 ft wide tin Awning here in Sunnyland, and had the same problem. After checking many times just like you, & finding nothing when I went outside to look. Well one day while I was just working outside in the garden, are you ready for this, it turned out to be big "dried leaves", that when the wind blew it made the leaves turn end over end on the tin Awning and it sounded like "running feet" over it. I couldn't believe it, but that's what it was. So when you hear the sounds, take notice if is it windy by you? That could be your answer also. Happy hunting!
