Some of you will know that I am a Production / Training Manager for B&W Loudspeakers. We have a very 'plush' training center where we train dealers and distributors in the 'Marketing' aspect of the business. We own our distributorships so we have a vested interest.

Anyway....within the last 18 months we have launched some new products and the Training center has not been free. At long last I have been able to organise some Product Demos for People in the factory...about 150...

We have a 30 seat cinema and part of the demo was an audio visual 'experience' that included a track from a 'Blue man group'. it was so fantastic that I want to get hold of a DVD. Has anyone out there heard of these guys....I believe they are performing in London at the moment. These guys were the characters in the 'Pentium 3' 'Pentium 4' adverts.

Sounds like the Blue Man group that performs at the Luxor in Vegas, at least that's what I think. I saw them when I was staying at the Luxor and their show was excellent.

They have a regular show on the Strip in Las Vegas, or at least they did. The tickets were too pricey for me. I've seen them on tv a couple of times. Their imaginative instruments they make with PVC pipe are amazing!

Yeah they still are playing at the Luxor as far as I am aware, though u are right AC the tickets are pretty pricey. The show we saw was pretty amazing, and the whole crowd loved them.

If you guys ...Chris, ACC...come accross any DVDs I'd be interested. I have looked on Amazon and Play.com but not much there.

Well I'm pretty sure that they sold DVD's at the Luxor hotel, but of course that is out of your reach. Can't say I know of any other places, but I guess u could try the Luxor home page and see if there is anything there. Hope u find something though Bez.

I couldn't talk my hubs into shelling out that kind of money to see them either. I WOULD LOVE TO, though!

Biographyby Jason AnkenyExperimental musical theatre troupe the Blue Man Group was founded in 1987 by longtime friends Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton, and Chris Wink; identical in their blue-painted skin, skullcaps and black clothing, the trio soon became a fixture of the New York underground performance art scene thanks to their regular appearances in Central Park, followed by shows at noted East Village spaces including Dixon Place, Performance Space 122 and the Wooster Group's Performing Garage. Equal parts play, concert, and sketch routine, the Blue Man Group combined sight gags, physical stunts and audience participation, with members of the front rows given plastic rain ponchos as protection from the hail of paint, food and other assorted projectiles launched from the stage; in early 1991, they premiered their production Tubes at La MaMa, moving to the Astor Place Theater by the end of the year and ultimately winning an Obie Award for their efforts. Tubes eventually expanded to long runs in Boston, Chicago and Las Vegas; in 1999, the Blue Man Group also issued an album, Audio, spotlighting their custom musical instruments. Three year later, the trio inked a multi-album deal with Atlantic's sister label, Lava Records. The Complex, which appeared in April 2003, marked the Blue Man Group's monumental sophomore album - a slick effort showcasing impressive collaborations with Tracy Bonham, Dave Matthews, Dan the Automator and Esthero.

Blue Man Group: Audio is the DVD version of their first album, in which the group performs the music they've composed for their performances (as well as several numbers original to this release), often using unusual instruments they created themselves. In addition to accompanying videos, this DVD edition of Audio also features a special 5.1 Surround Sound mix which takes advantage of the higher sonic resolution of the DVD format, as well as providing directional clues which add a new dimension to the music.

The Blue Man Group don't only put on a rock concert, they deliver a total show. It's a raw combination of conceptual art, sound sculpture, and vaudeville. Thanks to everyone for their input. They are performing in London at the moment apparently.

I have ordered a DVD from play.com. and I'm hoping it'll arrive to day so that I can play it tonight and let you know what I think.

I thought it would arrive before last weekend because play.com are usually very quick.....i'm just too impatient.

The DVD didn't arrive today...I'm getting a bit anxious as normally the delivery time is 48 hrs...I'm just too impatient I guess....
