You wouldn't believe what happened today.

Here in Spain we don't have councel tips or anywhere to take household rubbish it is all put beside the communal bins out on the street, often people help themselves to furniture and things that have been left, sometimes it's very good stuff that has been dumped.

My bf found a computer beside one of these bins and brought it home to have a look at it. The only thing wrong with it was the power pack had given up. everything else was fine including the cd rewriter and dvd rewriter.

:D I will soon be sitting at a super fast computer when I take the bits that are better than mine. :D

Not a good sign, it just means you'll have an even faster trigger finger! ;)

One of my mates who has lived on the Costa Del Sol in Spain for the last 3 years e mailed me earlier to let me know his new address as he moved apartment today. Said he left his computer by the side of the road as he took some other stuff inside and when he went back, someone had half-inched it. What's the world coming to?

My boss is always saying that he doesn't believe in coincidences. A few weeks ago I met someone else who didn't believe in coincidences either. I thought "Blimey, what a coincidence"

If he wants it back its fine by me but his hard drive is at the police station. He might have a hard time explaining what was on it. :lips: :wah:

What great luck pina, Good for you!

But being a virgo, (COD- worry wart) just hope there is no "VIRUS" in the darn thing!!! (Maybe that's why it was discarded, but that's just me, always looking a gift horse in the mouth)

No Virus I've kept hold of my own hard drive. I'm only using the bits that are better than mine like the processor and extra memory the rest will go towards building another computer.

It was probably thrown away because it wouldn't start up and the owner just went out and bought another one. So many people here throw things out because they are moving or have enough money to just change things when they feel like it.

That's why I said lucky me for finding it.
