I keep thinking I'll have to start keeping a notebook with me for when I hear a line in a song that makes me think "gee I wish I'd written that, it sums up what I was thinking/feeling perfectly" I figure this may be the next best thing. I think you can tell a lot about a person by what music touches them. I'd like to hear lines from songs that are really meaningful to you all. A couple of mine to start off with -

I've not put where they're from - Google can get the full lyrics and besides, they're all well known. Maybe. Method of selection - I can hear them clearly when I remember them, and they all call up emotions of one form or another.
