Good morning to you too.
Forgive me if this seems nit-picking, but what exactly does "pan-fried" mean? How else can one fry anything?
My aunt used to refer to "green peas," to which my uncle always retorted, "what other colours do they come in?":)

I think Clipper should open up his own chain of restaurants. I'm sure they would attract people from all around, what with the delicious food that they would have to offer.

Clipper wrote: Ruth...over heah we have different ways of frying food. Pan-fried is self-explanatory....then we have deep-fried; as in using a big old pot of hot oil to do the frying; and then there is the oven-fried method which is used by many to cook bacon.
If I have confused you with all this please ignore my cooking methods and concentrate on eating and enjoying the food......oftentimes I confuse myself as well.....
Thanks, Clipper. In British English that would be fried, deep-fried, baked or grilled.
Your message reminded me of those great American breakfasts in the south, with grits and little herby pork sausages, hhmmmmm!

I saw a "funny video" programme the other night. There was one of a wedding, where the guests were all seated at the table and a microphone was passed around for everyone to give their personal good wishes to the happy couple. It was passed to a very old lady, who announced to the whole party, "I'll have one portion and chicken and some potatoes on the side. No vegetables.":wah:

Ohh so you want dry bread. Ok that makes sense. I had just a little vanilla to my egg/milk mixture.

another good method for french toast is to use real french bread from the bakery, let it get a little stale. i slice it a bit thick.

Breakfast this morning is golden pan-fried French Toast topped with cinnamon and powdered sugar, crispy-cooked sausage links, home-cooked oatmeal with a good dab of honey and a handfull of raisins added, and a thick slab of warm nanner bread topped with home-made butter.Ice cold fresh milk with a little cream on top, and hot cocoa with whipped cream floating on top. And most importantly...a big old pot of steaming cawfee.
Chow it all down and hit the door running....Have a safe and warm day all.....and thank the Lord for a beautiful sunrise!!
Oh I see you had breakfast at "Denny's" to!!!:D
(Kidding of course)
