last year the fastest time was 4 and a half minutes.

Fire Departments from all over the state send 4 man crews to participate. when the Fire crews run they do it in Full gear: helmet, coat, coveralls, boots, air tank, and either 12 feet of hose or their "mulit-tool" axe thing.

the Fire Depts run last.

Last year the quickest time for the Fire crews was 8 minutes flat

the estimated total distance from start to finish is half a mile. Straight up!

the best time turned in was by a 22 year old fella. 40 floors in 5 minutes, 7 seconds.

the best Firefighter time was turned in by Ankeny squad #2. all four made it up, in Full Gear mid you, in 15 minutes.
