My dad just stopped by and....he got a TATTOO!!!! He'd been talking about getting one for months, and my dad is a great one to talk about something, and talk, and talk, and talk....and never do.

In fact Bullet and I were secretly having a giggle every time it was brought up, because we both knew he'd "never" do it. He has one, from 40 years ago when he was in the service that is faded and barely discernible now. Now, on his other bicep, is a tat of a bald eagle that looks like it's tearing through his skin, and behind it "under" the skin are peeks of the American flag. I can't freaking believe he did it.

Semi related...I havent worn an earring since I was 18. I got a bunch for Christmas and I like wearing one again.

I feel so sad for anyone denied the richness, the diversity, the sheer brilliance of Scooby-Doo. To think, with all the homeless, the sick, the depraved, the junkies...there's also people who have not had the priviledge of exposure to this fine piece of American culture. *sigh* Just how far can the insanity go????
